So there you are in NYC. And behold, the Flatiron building. How many times have you seen it, in movies, magazines, TV shows? How to represent it in a new way? Here is my attempt. Just wonderful to be in its presence.
This view is the East River, looking North, beginning with the Brooklyn Bridge. A magical place and time. Does this image make you feel cold? It was COLD!
As most of you know I went to NYC last November. It was a great trip, and I did a lot of "street photography." In this series I'm going to alternate days of street photography and other city scenes.
Actually, the truth is a bit stranger. The ferry was going the other way. But that looks like the front right? Our ferries don't have a front/back (or bow/stern in proper nautical speak). They have two "ends."
Really, it's just for fun. Overall, these days I'm not much into any heavy duty processing of my images. I was showing some relatives around Seattle, and so you just have to go to Kerry Park, right? An overcast day. But you just have to take a shot, right?
So I thought, well, here is one I can go overboard with. It's just for fun. Shows what Topaz Adjust 5 can do (the sketch-color preset). More digital art than photography.
