So we have a train down in Old Sacramento, pretty much an average shot. Converging lines add some interest. But to spice it up and make it an image worth viewing, I turned it into digital art, mainly using "saturation." Image editors like Photoshop and Lightroom have a variety of image manipulation techniques. Saturation is one that just turns all the colors that are there more vivid. I used a bit of "curves" in this one as well, which makes dark areas darker. Sort of "wakes up" the old train, wouldn't you say?
