Boat shows, plane shows, car shows, these are all great opportunities for me. I work on isolating certain elements and creating a pleasing image. You have to, as there are people all around. You don't have many chances to get a car or boat in its entirety.
At the Lake Tahoe Concourse de Elegance, I have done a bit of shooting.
Woodie and Chrome

This boat was partially under a cover structure, so the bright sun was not harsh. The chrome pieces, highly polished, were reflecting everything! Looking at them, it occurred to me that this would really be nice as a water color. That's one of the easiest filter treatments to do in Photoshop. You get to dial in the size of the brushstrokes and everything. I have printed this for an office wall, and it's a great image printed large. I need to hit some more boat shows!
