Yes, what a glorious day it is. I have my one millionth blog reader. I can't thank all of you enough. And now, I'll have to come up with a suitable prize for the lucky lady - April! Early this morning, April Fool was the millionth visitor.
Well, in honor of this day and momentous occasion, I thought I would search out some images that give you pause for thought, a "what the heck is this" kind of image.
The parts are recognizable, but they don't really go together, do they? What is it we have here? Click the link below to find out, and happy April Fool's Day!
One day a few years ago I was up at my uncle's winery, Indian Rock Vineyards (it's in Murphys, CA, I highly recommend a visit!), and a guy drives up in a 49 Cadillac. But not your average old Caddie. It had a modern interior and motor, it was lowered, and the paint, oh my. Jet black. But so shiny, it just reflected everything. All of a sudden, looking down, I saw a perfect sky and clouds, like a mirror - but in black paint!
When I looked at the image on the computer, it was like the emblems were just floating in the sky, quite a nice effect. I took several more shots of interesting parts of this vintage automobile, with reflections, and then gave each a little fun post processing in Lightroom or Photoshop.
Well, you just don't see Cadillac's like this every day. And with the trouble GM is in right now, we may not see any new ones. I certainly hope that is not the case. Fight on GM and Detroit!
And happy April Fool's day to all you visitors, even if I don't actually have the millionth one YET!
Which image do you like best, leave a comment below!
