My daughter graduated high school yesterday, so I would like to take this opportunity to say CONGRATULATIONS to all the graduates out there. Whether junior high, high school, college, military school, graduate school - way to go! And the same to you parents, spouses and others that have helped the graduate get there.
I mostly had my telephoto mounted, getting pictures of students I know. I had chosen a seat near the back of the student area. My plan was to mount the wide angle and be right behind them when the hats flew. It's always nice when a plan works out. (And then there is the importance of having a plan!) The 10 frames per second speed of the 1D Mk III sure comes in handy at a time like this, where the whole thing only lasted about 3 or 4 seconds.
