I'll be honest, I'm on the fence with this one. This weekend's hot weather got me looking at pictures from my recent boating trip. When I came across this one, it showed me how incredibly perfect nature can be. Look at those wings and feathers, which the pretty backlight does help a great deal. So perfect.
I'm on the fence because I'm not sure if this one is blog worthy or not? I like the symmetry or perfection concept here. I even considered cloning some feathers over the right leg so that the legs would be perfect too. Or turning the bird so the wings lined up completely with the frame edges. But who am I to mess with Mother Nature?
Many seabird pictures are just a picture of a bird flying along, big deal. It's nice if you can make eye contact with the bird, but if we had that here, we wouldn't have the backlight going. To get included on this blog, an image has to be more special than that. So that's the question - special or just ordinary?
