Fall Color Wave
Canon 1D Mark III, 24-70mm F/2.8, f/7.1, 1/320, iso 1000
Another image from the last day of our recent Oregon trip. You might recall from a previous post that we left the coast in Bandon at about 7 am and had a 90 mile easterly drive to meet up with I-5. This was the first time we were treated to real Fall Color in Oregon.
When I first saw this particular scene, it reminded me of a wave - the shape of the mountains, the foamy froth of fog. And a golden beach in the foreground. Okay hey, I'm a photographer, not a poet, eh?
So much for my rule about no "stands of trees Fall Color shots" this year. Well, I do like to break the rules, at least now and again. It was a misty, rainy and cold morning. I do think the image captures what we saw and felt.
