I got invited to fly to a plane show down in the Bay Area yesterday, and it was a really good time. Got to see a good friend that I don't see to often in person, which was nice. And thanks to another friend, we traveled down in style.

Like I said, riding in style!
In "the soup" on the way down.
This is a "Waco." Legend has it actor and major aviation buff Harrison Ford owns one of these. It would take me about two seconds to say "yes" to a ride in one of these. Make that one second.
The mighty King Air. A mini-airliner. Pretty much all pilots lust after one of these. Until yesterday I had only been in older ones that were pretty worn out on the inside. This is a new one, with a beautiful corporate type interior. Yummy. I can see why everyone wants one. As CEO of the Dream Tomorrow blog, I will have to seriously consider this transportation.
After seriously considering the King Air form of transportation, I am evidently several million dollars short at the moment. Dang economy. It seems this modern day Super Cub is more my speed. Here we see the poor little Cub looking mournfully at the King Air.
If the King Air hit one of these cubs flying around, the wife's champagne would spill a bit, and the husband would say "oh dear, just one of those little bumps in the sky, nothing to worry about..."
The Diamond Air Twin Star. What a sexy beast! I should seriously consider one of these. Wait, didn't I already try that?
Time to head home. I love flying any time, but especially when the view is fun like this. This was shot with my 14mm lens. It really was a lovely day and thank you to friends new and old for including me. As you know I'm up for shooting just about anything, and airplanes are high on my list.
