I chose this image today for several reasons, which I'll tell you about. Today we are leaving for the Central Coast: Avila Beach, Pismo, Arroyo Grande. This is the area we want to move to within a couple of years. So we try to vacation there once or twice a year to learn more about it.
This image is from that area, Montana de Oro state park, actually.
And as you may know, I'm a water person, salt water preferably. I like the idea of an image that draws one to the sea, as I feel drawn to it.
The other thing is that I have a very specific photographic goal for this trip. Several actually, but the most important involves shooting something in the ocean. I have been pretty fortunate, results-wise, when I am specific about a photographic goal, so I hope that is the case this time as well. We will see, won't we? Wish me luck!
