As you know if you frequent my blog, I'm a big fan of abstracts. I like the idea of taking a "real picture" and turning it into something interesting and unique. This is another "shopping mall shot" from last Friday of all things.
A vase caught my eye, through a window. So I took a picture of it, not knowing what I might be able to do with it. I then rotated and cropped for this composition, and then used the clarity slider (all the way to the left) to soften up the image. Then a preset called Antique, followed by a bit of curves. Then I exported, opened in Photoshop, then in Topaz Adjust. I tried several presets and ended up picking the Panorama preset. I then added some saturation.
I like the forms and lines, the different "substances" in the image. Visually rich. Click on the continue link to see what I started with, and of course if you like abstracts feel free to leave a comment.
