Topaz Adjust - Small Details preset, additional saturation
As you can see from the info above, that camera body, this image is from "the old days." 2003 to be exact. All this snow we are having has me feeling nostalgic for shooting in the Tahoe area. I wish I could get up there now, but with work and family stuff going on, I'm unable. So, Lightroom to the rescue, I can easily revisit lots of images from past Winters.
This barn would be familiar to anyone that has driven north on Hwy 89 out of Truckee. How long has it been there? No idea. Did it make it through this big storm we just had? I don't know! Quite likely not, as you can see she had quite the lean going 6 years ago.
For my Topaz processing, I really wanted to bring out all the details, so I after trying a few presets, I settled on Small Details, just what I was looking for. Then I added more saturation for the reddish tones in the wood. Back in photoshop, I cloned out some distracting details at the bottom of the frame.
I really should get up there! Well, in the meantime, click on the continue link to see the pre-Topaz version.
