I'm doing it again.
Put up an image that I'm drawn to, although I am unsure whether others will enjoy or not.
Over the past few days my tulip tree has begun to announce the arrival of spring here in "Cali," as my buddy Rian likes to say. (No one in California says "Cali," and that's why I like hearing it.)
When I got home from work, the blooms were lusciously backlit and I hurried to grab my gear.
And ... wet from the early afternoon rain. Doesn't get better than that.
I took numerous pictures of entire blooms, both front lit and back lit. And I like them a lot. But I keep getting pulled back to this one. I remember taking it, having the same feeling as when I look at it now. I'm drawn to that beautiful, organic curve. And how I can see through. Again, why I'm not sure.
This image has a bit of a Diane Varner feel to it, at least to me. (Without meaning to be presumptuous as Diane is in my "A list" of artists I would like my images to be compared to.) I didn't add my name because I didn't want to take anything away from what nature created.
Shall I put up the full bloom one?
