On one of my walks near my house, I noticed this heron fishing. He (she?) landed on one rock, then hopped into the water. It wasn't 20 seconds later that a meal was procured. I took a few shots, then began walking towards the lovely critter. They are pretty shy, and I was ready when take off occurred. One big flap down accompanied by a leap of the legs and it is airborne.
