John Barclay and Tony Sweet were nice enough to take me to one of the prize locations they found in Havana (during our trip in January 2012). This gorgeous car set in an exotically lit garage. They had shot it once, and wanted to return.
So we did that. When a truly great subject presents itself, Tony is the kind of guy that really works that subject. I saw him once spend nearly 45 minutes with two cars. And of course he ends up working out a killer composition.
If you know me, you know I usually don't have that kind of patience. After we had all shot this car, he wanted to keep at it. Getting bored, I decided to play around with a slow shutter and a bit of camera movement. Guess it was good for me that Tony needed some more time?
Am I whetting your appetite for Cuba? Stay tuned!
