Ever seen a library like this? I doubt there are many as beautiful as the NYC Central Library. I found some very interesting places, like this one. I was actually trying to get a shot with no people in it, when this one person walked up and I liked the whole feel.
I felt the image would have more punch in B&W, so into Topaz BW Effects. After trying a few presets, I selected a sepia one. But going into the Adaptive Exposure sliders is where I was really able to add punch. At one point, the lantern was just way to bright, drawing my attention so that I couldn't hardly see the "watcher."
I thought about going back to Lightroom, would be easy to fix. But "protect highlights" did an equally good job. I used the detail and detail boost sliders as well to bring out the character of the building. It's so easy to get great results with this program.
