This image is from 2008, in a part of California's "gold country." Guess it got its name for more than one reason eh?
Funny when I look back at images from my past. I have a different eye now. I guess photographers/artists are always evolving, and react to prior works differently than when created.
I don't remember the thought process on this scene, but the EXIF info tells the story, doesn't it? Oh, going for max DOF (f/16). High enough ISO to get a shutter speed that stops the wind movement (1/200), within the bounds of cameras at that time. I'm quite sure I was working quickly to place that entire cloud in the frame.
In this case I'm going back five plus years, and I think "hmmm, I did pretty well on this one."
